Long time, director Gordon W. Fulton announced his retirement at the January 27, 2025 board meeting effective February 1, 2025. He has served on the board for 35 years. He was elected in November 1988 and seated on the board in 1989 to fill the seat vacancy for the unexpired two-year term for Subdivision 2. He then was re-elected at the 1989 election for a 6 year term. While on the board he has served as President, Vice President and Treasurer.
He was also a National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s (NRECA) Credentialed Cooperative Director (CCD). In order for a director to receive their CCD Certificate, they must complete a series of courses which includes director duties and liabilities, understanding the electric business, board roles and relationships, strategic planning and financial decision making. Gordon was well respected by his fellow directors and constituents. He represented the District at various meetings over the Years. Fulton’s knowledge, wisdom, input and leadership will be hard to replace. We wish Gordon well in his retirement.
